Let’s Connect to be Change Driver in Bihar’s Progress

By Gyanendra Keshri

At the centre of India’s national flag is Ashok Chakra, associated with the legendary emperor Ashok who ruled India from Patliputra, now Patna. In fact, most of the achievements that India became renowned for, in education, governance, society, or religion, have their roots in Bihar. While the history gives a sense of awe the people of Bihar living outside the state, be in India or overseas, tend to hide their identity as the word ‘Bihari’ has become synonymous with backwardness.

Bihar today, is indeed, a major drag on most of the socio-economic indicators of India. Bihar is endowed with rich history and culture. People from Bihar have played important role in growth and development of the country. Biharis are known for their bureaucratic acumen and dedication for work. Why has Bihar not benefited from that? Situation at the grassroots level in Bihar is so pathetic that most people think that only some magic could help them come out of the drudgery. Where that magic will come from? It is said that when people come together magic happens. BiharConnect is founded on this philosophy.

BiharConnect strives to bring development and growth to the core of discourse in Bihar. We are non-partisan and engage with wide range of stakeholders
